Home ownership in 2022
The homeownership programs are already a fact this year, with subsidies extended by the Ministry of Urban Development for middle class homes and a new program for those with title deeds.

Today, housing built on the outskirts of the city also presents enormous challenges for families. Distance, insecurity, accessibility, lack of transportation, loss of time and resources, and other factors can affect children’s education, access to work, health services, recreational spaces, and even citizen participation.
But there is an investment advantage and access to these properties consisting of an assistance of between 5% to 20% for the purchase of houses, whose final prices must be between $29,000 to $75,000, and another subsidy was launched for the construction of houses for beneficiaries who have title to the land.
These new housing solutions with access to the city will mean housing opportunities for families with incomes up to 5 minimum wages, in affordable installments and with access to all basic services.
From its beginnings in Paraguay to the present day, Habitat for Humanity has achieved more than 10,600 housing solutions for Paraguayan families, helping to improve the quality of life of close to 50,000 people.
The proposal is aimed at families with incomes from 1.5 to 7 minimum wages, who wish to purchase their first home. They must be completed and may be located in urban areas throughout the country.
The program has 4 categories of subsidies. Applicants in categories 1 and 2 must attach a savings account statement showing 5% of the value of the property to be acquired at the time of applying for the subsidy.
